Reuse, Recycle!
I guess in some ways this duality (and its rugged nature) fits the theme. Two for one!

Inspired by the Icee drinks I used to get at gas stations back in the day. There is just something about snow-capped lettering that hits the right spot!
Read MoreNew sign painting up at Forgotten Star Brewery in Fridley, MN. - Sign writing on glass is always a tricky balancing act because your eyes flip between the stencil (located on the front side of the glass) and the surface you’re painting on (backside). This can cause your focus to go in and out as you paint. (sometimes I close one eye to help me to concentrate)..
Read MoreHere are individual pictures of the four garage doors I painted for Naab Machinery Sales in Blaine, MN. Each door took about two days to complete. I painted the yellow letters first, then the red cast shadow. On the last day, I also painted varnish over the text to help protect it in the long term (MN weather can be very extreme - both hot AND cold). 1-Shot Paint was used for the painting. 24” x 168” each…
Read MoreI purchased a painting by the artist Robert Wood (print on canvas) from Hidden Treasures Thrift Store (2915 Pentagon Dr, Saint Anthony, MN) on 06/03/2022. A serene landscape of a mill and winding meadow. Titled ‘Mill Stream.’’
I painted a rubber duck (dressed as a bride) on the painting and then returned this “new” artwork back to the same thrift store on 06/25/2022, around 12pm.
New sign painting up for the good folks at Naab Machinery Sales. As you can see in the images below the texture of the doors makes the line work challenging. You have to really charge the brush to get the right coverage… but not too much! 😂 It’s a bit of a juggling act.
I’ve got three more garage doors in the works so more to come!

Read MoreI went to the Prince block party after work on Thursday night to check out the unveiling of his mural by the artist Hiero Veiga. I had been watching it come to life these last few weeks and I was curious to see how it turned out since the weather here has been questionable these last few days. Lots of rain and wind. The mural is about 100 feet tall on a wall near Ramp A by on the southwest corner of First Avenue and Eighth Street…

The good folks at Naab reached out to me and asked if I could help add some personality to their office space. Logos, quotes, general signage, etc. A total of six signs! We met and discussed some ideas and I sent them over a digital mockup so that they could visualize how it would look within the space. A few adjustments later and we were ready to go! So as to not disturb them during their business hours I painted the signs at night, usually between 7-1 am. See images below…

Inspired by issue #87 of the comic book title, Fantastic Four, by the illustrious Stan Lee and Jack Kirby- (I just read a book about that guy too) 🤷🏽♂️
It is weird what motivates people. I just had to get this painting done last night before the new year. There is no immediate need but… I don’t know, it just seemed important.
2022 has now arrived!
I had the pleasure of painting some signs at the Target Workshop (Mpls) this past week. “Happy Holidays” and snow graphics were hand painted onto the side of two push carts. I believe they were going to be used at some sporting events… but I really didn’t get wind of the details. Just paint it and go!
In any case.. I hope the work helped add to the holiday cheer!
