The owner of Pura Vida Elite took a picture of me when I was painting their sign in their soccer training area. (The letter ‘S’ in ‘HAS’) - ‘A GOAT HAS GOTTA START SOMEWHERE.’ -

Read MoreNew sign painting up for the good folks at Naab Machinery Sales. As you can see in the images below the texture of the doors makes the line work challenging. You have to really charge the brush to get the right coverage… but not too much! 😂 It’s a bit of a juggling act.
I’ve got three more garage doors in the works so more to come!

Inspired by issue #87 of the comic book title, Fantastic Four, by the illustrious Stan Lee and Jack Kirby- (I just read a book about that guy too) 🤷🏽♂️
It is weird what motivates people. I just had to get this painting done last night before the new year. There is no immediate need but… I don’t know, it just seemed important.
2022 has now arrived!
New signage on a scrap piece of masonite, 11 3/4 x 16 1/4”. ‘From Beyond The Unknown’.
Inspired by the DC comics title with the same name.
Looks like this might…. be the last sign for the year. But there is one more week left so….
‘Liquor/Clown Sign’, 11.75 x 25”, enamel and acrylic paint on 3/4” mdf
Inspired by the Circus Liquor store in North Hollywood, California.

And as always…. thanks for the support!
‘Tastes Great! 2’, 24 x 22”. Enamel and acrylic paint on masonite. Inspired by classic ice cream cone packaging.
You can see the original Tastes Great! HERE (completed back in March 2020, during the height of the pandemic) The original sign sold so that is why I decided to make another one. Bigger and better!
I recently completed a commission work for a local workshop in town. A humorous take on the shops work ethos. No, it’s not a real word but.. you get it right?
‘Perfekteschagen - Anything else… is uncivilized”, enamel paint on wood, 18 x 24.5”. To get the right feel for the work I went with a font that reminds me of a German beer, something like a Yuengling (which apparently is not a German beer but that is what popped in my mind initially) I made one goof though and forgot to seal the wood before I painted it so the lettering took a lot longer than it needed to. But perhaps by writing it down here it will help me to remember next time.
With the holidays quickly approaching I have to put it out there that a hand painted sign is the PERFECT gift for your business or home. Give the gift that keeps on giving, support local art! Click the link for more info…

New hand painted sign on a scrap piece of wood; small one this time… 6.5 x 4.5”. Inspired by text I saw on an Oatly milk carton, (as I drink their product everyday when I pour milk into my coffee).
So that is one interpretation, but I must say that things have been rather dramatic lately so maybe that’s the other inspiration.

New sign painting on paper, 16x26" each. (These are not photographed correctly but I wanted to share them anyway) I decided to make a series of food signs.... because, well, maybe that's just how I feel lately. Comfort food for some, junk food for others. Definitely nostalgic, blatant.
More to come! Pop-corn might be next, or cotton candy(?)
Last week I purchased a framed print (print of a painting) by Hugh Knollys, titled ‘Red Jacket’ (which I am assuming is the name of the ship). The painting/print cost around $3.00. I chose this particular piece because it was available, but also because I felt that there was room for collaboration. A rubber duck was painted on the print and then the piece was returned to Hidden Treasures Thrift Store on April 17, 2021, 4:30pm. (2915 Pentagon Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55418)
