The ‘UNKNOWN’ signage was actually painted on the back of another sign I did a while ago - ‘Plan 9 from Outer Space.’ I didn’t want the original anymore… but I didn’t want to throw it away so…
Reuse, Recycle!
I guess in some ways this duality (and its rugged nature) fits the theme. Two for one!

New sign painting up at Forgotten Star Brewery in Fridley, MN. - Sign writing on glass is always a tricky balancing act because your eyes flip between the stencil (located on the front side of the glass) and the surface you’re painting on (backside). This can cause your focus to go in and out as you paint. (sometimes I close one eye to help me to concentrate)..

Here are individual pictures of the four garage doors I painted for Naab Machinery Sales in Blaine, MN. Each door took about two days to complete. I painted the yellow letters first, then the red cast shadow. On the last day, I also painted varnish over the text to help protect it in the long term (MN weather can be very extreme - both hot AND cold). 1-Shot Paint was used for the painting. 24” x 168” each…

New sign painting up for Naab Machinery Sales, Blaine, MN
New sign painting up for the good folks at Naab Machinery Sales. As you can see in the images below the texture of the doors makes the line work challenging. You have to really charge the brush to get the right coverage… but not too much! 😂 It’s a bit of a juggling act.
I’ve got three more garage doors in the works so more to come!

New sign painting for the offices of Naab Sales Corp at 2200 108th Lane NE; Blaine, MN.
The good folks at Naab reached out to me and asked if I could help add some personality to their office space. Logos, quotes, general signage, etc. A total of six signs! We met and discussed some ideas and I sent them over a digital mockup so that they could visualize how it would look within the space. A few adjustments later and we were ready to go! So as to not disturb them during their business hours I painted the signs at night, usually between 7-1 am. See images below…
