I purchased a framed print by the British artist John Wilson Carmichael from Goodwill Thrift Store at 1239 University Ave W, St. Paul, MN. The print, “Old Hartlepool,” beautifully captures a serene scene of ships and boats peacefully floating outside the historic port town of Hartlepool, England. This meticulous portrayal is a delightful snapshot of maritime life, showcasing the essence of the coastal town in 1835.

Purchase price: $15.99

I painted a royal rubber duck on the print and returned this ‘new’ artwork back to the same thrift store on 06/24/2024, around 2pm.

A successful collaboration! Thanks, John, for your contribution to the work!
