I got the idea to paint food signs when I moved to Minneapolis, MN in the winter of 2021. Not just any type of food signs mind you, but food signs normally associated with fairgrounds, rodeos, state fairs, circuses, etc. An aesthetic all its own. Deep-fried, sweet, savory goodness… not exactly nutritious, but undeniably satisfying!
Is it nostalgia? Or is this new artistic direction the result of lockdown fatigue… or maybe it’s just a sign?
In any case, new artwork/signage will be added to this site periodically, stay tuned!
